Logbook Servicing
First Diesel Services can provide all your car’s log book servicing needs and mechanical repairs in our Penrith workshop. All our technicians are qualified and have years of experience providing log book servicing on all diesel makes and models.
Having a completed logbook showing maintenance completed on schedule helps impress buyers and shows you have looked after the car by having it serviced when required. A vehicle with no logbook or missing/late services can be considered a risk to buyers and be valued accordingly.
Increase Your Vehicle's Resale Value
Regular maintenance by qualified technicians will help increase your vehicles resale value.
Service Scheduling
When Does My Vehicle Need Servicing?
Most vehicles run to a service schedule every 10,000 – 15,000 km or every 12 months. You can view the specific schedule for your vehicle in your owner’s logbook.
During a logbook service, our technicians will complete the essential tune-ups and repairs to your vehicle per the manufacturer’s specifications and stamp your logbook. If you have purchased a car without an owner’s logbook, we can perform a service based on your vehicle’s current km travelled.
Know The Facts
Maintain Your Car Warranty
Ensuring your vehicle is serviced according to the manufacturer’s schedule will keep your new car warranty valid. Most car manufacturers will require that a qualified mechanic carry any servicing, the car is serviced to the manufacturer’s specification, and that appropriate quality parts are used.
It’s a common belief that vehicles must be serviced only by the car dealership to maintain a new vehicle warranty; this is not true. The ACCC has confirmed that under Australian Consumer Law, you are free to have your car serviced by any qualified mechanic.
Qualified Mechanics
When carrying out your logbook servicing, our mechanical workshop has the latest diagnostic equipment to diagnose any problems you are currently experiencing.
If your vehicle has mechanical problems covered under warranty, you may need to prove that you have completed the required logbook servicing; otherwise, the dealer may refuse your warranty claim.
“Check the details of your warranty before you get a maintenance schedule. As long as the service is carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications, any licensed repairer can do it, not just the dealer from whom you purchased the vehicle.” – NSW Fair Trading
